About The Show That’s About Songs About Stuff & Things

Andy & Reggie’s Songs About Stuff & Things Radio Hour is created, written, produced and performed by Andy Whorehall, with Reggie Railroad Reynolds.  It premiers in 2012.

Episodes are centered around random subjects, objects– stuff and things, and songs.  This show was inspired by Bob Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour which ran on satellite radio from May 2006 to April 2009.  We look forward to educating and entertaining each new listener on our mission to the other world.  Anyone not along for the ride can tune into any American FM radio station (except for NPR stations and WXRT-FM Chicago, still 1 of the best) to hear the slow death of modern radio as we hear it now.  (How many times can you really stand to hear “Jeremy” or “Sweet Emotion” in one day?)

Bob-Dylans-Theme-Time-Radio-HourAndy & Reggie sat down with the show’s head writer in late 2011 to discuss a show centered on sharing the love of music combined with low-hanging fruit (subjects that peasants can grasp in one sitting such as the end of the world, heartbreak, clarity, vegetables, breakfast, and many other subjects that won’t stress out simple minds combined with music) and came up with a successive idea to supplement Mr. Zimmerman’s landmark satellite radio show. We take no shame in acknowledging the greats, but offer no apologies for respectfully ripping them off to carry on a new show, our way.

Enjoy and share,
